The grafts will start to grow immediately after your hair transplantation procedure. This phase usually lasts around 3 to 4 weeks. However, the hair shafts attached to the root of the follicle typically fall out. This is because new hairs will be coming through the scalp. This process can last between 1 to 5 months and can be unsettling for many. However, it is simply part of the growth process and it's important not to panic. After this phase, you'll happily go into the growth phase of the new hairs. The final result time varies from patient to patient. Some people will see the full and final result after 6 months, whereas for others it can take up to 12 months. Once the new hairs come through, they are there for life. If at any point during the process you are unsettled or unsure of anything at all, please do get in touch with us.
We always aim to give you the best result possible and our surgeons are among the very best you will find anywhere in the world. Whether you require another procedure will depend on the stage of your hair loss, your age, your donor area, the number of areas to be covered. Each individual is different. Some people at the early stage of hair loss can certainly have a procedure now but they may need to consider further procedures in the future if their existing hair continues to thin or recede. Whereas others who have lost a lot or are older may be more happy to have just one procedure. The best way to know for sure is to speak to one of our specialist hair loss consultants or one of our surgeons. Book your FREE consultation and get in touch.

When you start to wash you head these remaining pieces of debris become softer and will go away. Usually, it takes between 5 to 7 days to remove all debris from your skin. If you're unsure about how much pressure to apply whilst washing please don’t hesitate to ask your hair loss consultant.
